The function of the air compressor filter is to enter the oil-containing compressed air generated by the main unit into the cooler, mechanically separate into the oil and gas filter for filtration, intercept and polymerize the oil mist in the gas, and form oil droplets concentrated at the bottom of the filter element and returned to the oil return pipe. The compressor lubrication system allows the compressor to discharge purer, high-quality compressed air; simply a device that removes solid dust, oil and gas particles and liquid substances from compressed air.
principle:
The oil and gas separation filter is the key component that determines the quality of the compressed air discharged from the screw compressor. The correct installation and good maintenance ensure the quality of the compressed air and the life of the filter.
The air compressed from the head of the screw compressor mains is filled with oil droplets of different sizes. The large oil droplets are easily separated by the oil and gas separation tank, while the small oil droplets (suspended) must pass through the micron-sized glass fiber of the oil and gas separation filter. The filter material is filtered. The correct choice of glass fiber diameter and thickness is an important factor to ensure the filtration effect. After the oil mist is intercepted, diffused and polymerized by the filter material, the small oil droplets are quickly aggregated into large oil droplets, which pass through the filter layer under the action of aerodynamics and gravity, and settle at the bottom of the filter element. These oils are returned to the lubrication system through the inlet of the return line at the bottom of the filter element, allowing the compressor to discharge relatively pure, high-quality compressed air.
Replacement method:
When the oil consumption of the air compressor is greatly increased, check whether the oil filter and the pipeline, the oil return pipe, etc. are blocked and cleaned. When the oil consumption is still large, the general oil separator has deteriorated and needs to be replaced in time; When the pressure difference between the two ends of the oil and gas separation filter is 0.15MPA, it should be replaced; when the pressure difference is 0, it indicates that the filter element is faulty or the airflow has been short-circuited. At this time, the filter element is also replaced when applied. Generally, the replacement time is 3000~4000 hours. If the environment is poor, the usage time will be shortened. The replacement steps are as follows:
External model
The external model is relatively simple, the air compressor is stopped, the air pressure outlet is closed, and the drain valve is opened. After confirming that the system is not under pressure, the old oil separator can be removed and replaced with a new oil separator.
Built-in model
Follow the steps below to properly replace the oil separator:
1. The air compressor is stopped, the air pressure outlet is closed, and the drain valve is opened to confirm that the system is not under pressure.
2. Disassemble the pipeline above the oil and gas tank and remove the pipeline from the pressure maintenance valve outlet to the cooler.
3. Remove the return line.
4. Remove the fixing bolts of the cover on the oil and gas drum and remove the upper cover of the barrel.
5. Remove the oil separator and replace it with a new oil separator.
6. Install in the reverse order of disassembly.
