How to Wash the Oil Filter
The cleaning method of hydraulic oil filter mainly depends on the material and usage of the filter.
Stainless Steel Oil Filter
Step 1: Immersion Completely immerse the filter element in a dedicated industrial solvent or parts cleaner to dissolve stubborn sludge and carbon deposits.
Step 2: Rinsing Use low-pressure compressed air (recommended below 50 PSI) to thoroughly rinse the filter element from the inside out to remove particles embedded in the mesh.
Step 3: Drying Ensure the filter element is completely dry before installation, either by air drying or by blowing it with low-pressure air.
Fiberglass Oil Filter
Strictly follow the manufacturer's recommended replacement cycle; replace the filter element immediately upon expiration or differential pressure alarm.
Paper oil filter element
Due to their structural characteristics, this material oil filters cannot be cleaned and can only be replaced with new filter cartridges.

Q5: Can I replace only the filter element and not the sealing ring?
A5: We strongly advise against this. The sealing ring is crucial for preventing oil leaks. Old sealing rings may be aged or deformed, and reuse can easily lead to leaks. To ensure optimal sealing, all our filter elements come with brand new, original-size sealing rings.
