Installation And Selection For Hydraulic Oil Filter

Product installation:

The position of the hydraulic oil filter in the system has a large effect on the effectiveness of the pollution control. In the hydraulic system, the filter can be installed in the oil suction passage, the pressure oil passage and the return oil passage as needed, or can be installed outside the main system to form a separate filtration system.


Suction filter: 

In order to prevent pollutants from entering the pump, an oil suction filter is usually installed in the oil suction port or the oil 

suction pipe. The suction port filter is immersed in the bottom of the tank, which is easily blocked by contaminants and difficult to maintain. Therefore, a net or line gap filter without a casing is generally used at the suction port.


Pressure line filter: 

A filter installed in a pressure oil line that is primarily used to protect hydraulic components downstream of the pump. As the main filter of the system, the filtration accuracy should ensure the system's requirements for oil cleanliness. Pressure oil filter is not very restrictive in terms of differential pressure, so high-precision filters can be used. The maximum allowable pressure difference is generally 0.35~0.5Mpa, and the initial pressure difference is 0.07~0.14Mpa. The strength of the pressure oil passage filter needs to withstand the maximum working pressure of the system and frequent pressure changes and pressure peaks.


Return filter: 

From the installation position, it is ideal to install the filter in the system return line, because the filter will remove the particulate pollutants immersed in the system and in the system before the system oil enters the oil pipe. Provide clean fluid to the system. However, since the hydraulic motor and the hydraulic cylinder cause flow pulsation in the return line, the filter performance of the filter is lowered. Especially for large-volume hydraulic cylinders, when the oil is suddenly turned back to the oil circuit under high pressure, the oil is suddenly relieved, and the instantaneous flow impact is large, which not only makes the filtration effect significantly lower, but also easily breaks the filter element. Therefore, only when the system is relatively stable, the oil return filtration can achieve the desired effect. In addition, the return oil pipeline filtration can not remove the pollutants immersed in the fuel tank. Special attention should be paid to the cleaning of the fuel tank before the system is moved and effective measures are taken to prevent the pollutants from immersing in the fuel tank. The oil return filter can adopt a high-precision filter, and the initial pressure difference is generally 0.035-0.05Mpa, and the maximum allowable pressure difference is 0.2-0.35Mpa.


Product selection:

(1) When using hydraulic oil filter, according to the characteristics of the above various filters, combined with various typical hydraulic components and systems for pollution level requirements or filtration accuracy requirements, system working pressure, oil temperature and oil The viscosity of the liquid, etc. to select the model of the filter.

(2) The hydraulic oil filter should have sufficient flow capacity. The flow capacity refers to the maximum flow rate allowed to pass through the filter at a certain pressure drop. It should be selected according to the filter sample in combination with the installation position of the filter in the system.

(3) The hydraulic oil filter must have a certain mechanical strength and should not be damaged by hydraulic pressure.

(4) For hydraulic systems that cannot be shut down, a filter with a switchable structure must be selected. The filter element can be replaced without stopping the machine. For the case where the filter plugging alarm is required, the filter with the transmitter can be selected.
