The Depth-Stack Filter Cartridge is a high-performance depth filtration solution engineered for critical liquid purification applications across pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and biotechnology industries. Unlike conventional surface filters that capture contaminants only on the outer layer, this innovative cartridge utilizes a gradient pore structure that traps particles throughout the entire filter matrix, significantly increasing dirt-holding capacity and extending operational life.
Constructed from multiple layers of depth filter sheets stacked together in a modular assembly, the cartridge features a double separator design that enhances overall stability by fully supporting the sheet material. This design prevents filter sheet deformities after heat treatment and mitigates adverse effects from hot sanitation.

- Surface Filtration: Larger particles in feed liquids are mechanically intercepted through the three-dimensional and porous structure of the filter sheets.
- Depth Filtration: Particles of various sizes are captured throughout the entire thickness of the filter sheets, not just on the surface. The gradient pore structure allows large particles to be trapped in outer layers while fine contaminants are captured in inner layers.
- Electrostatic Adsorption: Smaller particles and microorganisms are intercepted by positively charged electrostatic adsorption. The resin system in the filter media imparts a charge to the filter matrix, aiding the adsorption of negatively-charged contaminants.
Gradient Pore Structure
The heart of the cartridge lies in its proprietary gradient pore technology. Each layer of the filter is engineered with progressively smaller pores, starting from the outer surface and moving inward. This design allows:
Large particles to be captured in the outer layers
Fine contaminants to be trapped in the inner layers
This maximizes the use of the entire filter media, enabling the cartridge to hold significantly more contaminants than conventional depth filters.
