Working principle
The stainless steel precision filter housing operates on a straightforward and effective filtration principle:
- Fluid entry: Process fluid (liquid or gas) enters the housing through the inlet port.
- Distribution: The fluid is evenly distributed across the filter cartridges within the housing.
- Filtration: Under system pressure, the fluid passes through the PP filter cartridges. The PP media captures and retains suspended solids, particles, and contaminants based on the cartridge's rated filtration accuracy.
- Clean fluid exit: The purified fluid exits the housing through the outlet port, ready for downstream processes.
- Cartridge maintenance: When the differential pressure increases to the recommended change-out value, the cartridges are replaced - ensuring continuous, reliable filtration.
This design is commonly installed after multi-media pre-filtration and before membrane filtration equipment to protect sensitive downstream components from particulate damage.
