How To Disassemble And Clean Stainless Steel Filters

Jul 23, 2024

Disassembling and cleaning stainless steel filters typically involves the following steps:

1. Close the inlet and outlet valves: Before starting disassembly, make sure to close the inlet and outlet valves connected to the filter to prevent liquid leakage. ‌

2. Disassemble the filter: Remove the filter from the system, pay attention to maintaining the balance of the filter, and avoid damaging the filter during the disassembly process.

3. Remove the filter element or mesh: Open the upper cover of the filter and remove the internal filter element or mesh. During the removal process, be careful not to damage the filter element or mesh. ‌

4. Cleaning the filter element or mesh: Place the filter element or mesh into the cleaning tank, add an appropriate amount of cleaning agent, and gently brush its surface with a brush to remove impurities attached to it. Be careful not to apply too much force to avoid damaging the filter element or mesh.

5. Cleaning the filter housing: Use a brush and cleaning agent to clean the filter housing, with a focus on cleaning the internal partitions, support nets, and other parts. During the cleaning process, be careful not to let the cleaning agent enter the sealing surface of the filter, so as not to affect the sealing performance.

6. Rinse and air dry: Rinse the cleaned filter element, filter screen, and housing with clean water to ensure that the cleaning agent is completely washed away. Then place it in a ventilated place to dry, being careful not to expose the filter element or filter bag to sunlight to prevent aging or deformation.

7. Inspection: Before installation, check the filter element, filter screen, and housing to ensure that they are not damaged during the cleaning process.

These steps ensure thorough cleaning of the stainless steel filter, while also protecting its integrity and extending its service life.
