Filtration Principle of Security Filter

Security filters can provide protection for water treatment systems while ensuring that the effluent quality meets standards. It uses wire wound honeycomb filter or meltblown filter inside, which is used for production water filtration, alcohol filtration, pharmaceutical filtration, acid-base filtration, reverse osmosis RO membrane pre security filtration in industries such as drinking water, domestic water, electronics, printing, textile, etc. It has high flux, low consumable cost, polished or matte appearance, and acid pickling and passivation treatment on the inner surface.

The working principle of the security filter is to use the 5 μ m pores of the PP filter element for mechanical filtration. Trace suspended particles, colloids, microorganisms, etc. remaining in water are intercepted or adsorbed on the surface and pores of the filter element. As the water production time increases, the operating resistance of the filter element gradually increases due to the pollution of intercepted substances. When the water pressure difference between the inlet and outlet reaches 0.1 MPa, the filter element should be replaced. The main advantages of security filters are high efficiency, low resistance, and easy replacement.

 

Security filters are suitable for precision filtration with high solid content and requirements for filter residue humidity. They consist of a cylinder and filter tubes. The filter tubes are generally composed of PAPE filter cartridges, titanium rod filter cartridges, or stainless steel filter cartridges. The filter tubes are arranged in groups and installed in a closed cylinder. The filtered medium enters the body from the side and is filtered through the filter tubes. The liquid is discharged from the bottom, and the filter residue is discharged through the "compressed air back blowing" or "gas-liquid mixed back blowing method" to quickly blow down the residue and regenerate the filter tubes. The filter tube has high mechanical strength, especially good impact resistance, is not easily damaged, has good chemical stability, and is resistant to various acids, alkalis, and most organic solvents.

 

It can be equipped with multiple types of filter rods, with a larger filtration area compared to the same volume. The filter elements can be backwashed online, and can be deeply regenerated by chemical methods. The operating cost is relatively low, and the special structural design achieves residue free filtration. According to requirements, insulation jackets can be installed outside the machine body.
